Winter Activities

From mid-November until the end of June, two of Whistler's most famous, lift-accessed mountains,  Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, offer the largest riding area on the continent with over 8,000 acres of rideable terrain, 200 marked trails, and 12 massive bowls.

With its crisp alpine air and breathtaking vistas, Whistler Blackcomb is truly a magical mountain escape!

Skiing / Snowboarding

Whistler offers two amazing mountains with over 200 ski runs. Add that to a sophisticated alpine Village at the foot of the ski slopes, a huge variety of activities, spas, and accommodations from luxury to budget and you got yourself a ski vacation to look forward to!

Lift tickets are valid for both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Before you visit Whistler, be sure to check out www.whistlerblackcomb.com for up-to-date information on lift ticket prices and hours of operation.

“Fresh Tracks” program enables guests to upload early on the Whistler gondola and have a buffet breakfast at the Roundhouse Lodge. When ski patrol determines that it is safe to open selected runs, participants of this program are able to enjoy “Fresh Tracks” prior to regular ticket holders up loading. To participate you need to purchase a “Fresh Tracks” ticket in addition to your regular lift ticket. (Not available for the entire ski season, dates vary depending on snow conditions.)

Ski School

Whistler Blackcomb Ski School has ski and snowboard lessons available for adults and children of all abilities, available in either group or private lesson format. Whistler Kids is the name of the ski school for children and there is a Whistler Kids office located in the Whistler Village gondola station, less than a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Dog Sledding

The backcountry experience of a lifetime! Let the Musher and his team of Alaskan Huskies take you on a winter journey through the spectacular Soo Valley Wildlife Reserve. Stop along the trail for a traditional snack and weather permitting, you can even be the Musher and drive the sled. Guests embarking on a dog sledding tour are treated to amazing scenery, cookies and hot chocolate. If you love the outdoors and some dog companionship, then this adventure is for you.

Meadow Park Sports Centre has an indoor skating rink open to all ages. Skate rentals are available and they also have drop in hockey times. Whistler also has outdoor skating on Green Lake when the weather and conditions permit. Glide romantically with the one you love.

Sleigh Rides

Can there be anything more romantic than a sleigh ride through Whistler’s magical winter wonderland? Gentle, yet giant, Percheron horses lead the way and comfortable sleighs with padded seats and cozy blankets keep you warm.
